Teacher of the Week - Lois Cropenbaker
On March 14, we surprised Lois Cropenbaker as our Great American Teacher of the Week winner. Mrs. Cropenbaker, a first grade teacher at Elda Elementary in the Ross School District, was nominated by Aimee Rye whose son, Adrian, has her for class.

They had this to say in the nomination letter:
Amazing, compassionate and creative are words that only begin to describe this wonderful teacher. She is always finding creative ways to encourage each child and let them know they are special. She's always sacrificing her personal finances, countless hours and endless passion and commitment to the children. What a better world we would have if every teacher could be like her!

We got this award to Mrs. Cropenbaker just in time as this is her last year teaching. "It's easy to teach because these children make you want to do something special for each of them," she said during our classroom visit. "Each child deserves the most energy and attention that I have to give."

Congratulations Mrs. Cropenbaker!
