Teacher of the Week - Matt Curless
On April 18, we surprised Matt Curless as our Great American Teacher of the Week winner. Mr. Curless, a visual arts teacher at Glen Este High School, was nominated by student Gregg Platt.



Gregg had this to say in his nomination letter:
Although his class is one that comes naturally for me, he always seems to throw a challenge to my peers and me. But this is not the reason I am nominating him. This year, I have had some trouble in some of my other classes, and he has greatly helped me to succeed in getting better grades and pushing me into trying harder and applying to college.

"This is totally unexpected, and I'm very honored," said Mr. Curless during our surprise visit. "I enjoy working to inspire my students, and it seems I've been able to do that with Gregg."
