Teacher of the Week - Mrs. Kelly Stitzel
On January 18, we honored the first Great American Teacher of the Week winner for 2008. Kelly Stitzel, the religion teacher at St. Louis School, was nominated by one of her students, Sydney Crowley.

Sydney had this to say about her teacher:
She is so amazing at everything she does. Mrs. Stitzel wants all of her students to succeed, and she will do whatever it takes to get them there. She's so dedicated to her students and our school. I feel so lucky to have such a caring, compassionate teacher who loves kids and is such a great person and terrific role model.
We surprised Mrs. Stitzel during a classroom visit. "I'm totally in shock right now," she said. "Just having my students succeed at something is reward enough, but I'm really touched to be getting this award."
Congratulations Mrs. Stitzel!
