Have you received an unsolicited check from Great American Life?

Do not cash or deposit it.
We have recently learned that consumers are receiving counterfeit Great American Life Insurance Company checks. These checks are usually sent unsolicited to individuals along with a letter purportedly from Reader's Digest, Mystery Shopper or Consumer's Promotion Draw indicating that the recipient has won a sweepstakes, and that the Great American Life check is for any expenses the recipient may incur in obtaining their winnings. The envelopes that these checks and letters are being mailed in appear to originate in Canada.

If you have received one of these checks, do not cash or deposit it. Please mail or fax the entire content of the packet, including the envelope, to our company:
